Dr. Tran was born and raised in the suburbs of Kansas City and received his bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Kansas. Before attending dental school he worked as a software engineer in the healthcare and banking industries. His previous work experiences taught him the importance of teamwork, honesty, analysis, and continual learning, all of which influence his practice every day.
Dr. Tran earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Columbia University College of Dental Medicine in New York City, graduating in 2012. He then completed his residency at the Washington DC VA Medical Center, where he gained extensive hands-on experience in comprehensive dental care. He has also completed advanced training at the prestigious Pankey Institute, one of dentistry’s most rigorous postgraduate programs, specializing in comprehensive diagnosis and full-mouth rehabilitation.
As much as he loves dentistry, the role he’s proudest of is being husband to his amazing wife Jennifer and father to his two wonderful boys, Marcus and Jonathan. Jennifer is an Optometrist and is the co-founder of Ellicott City Vision. Since moving to the DC area, they’ve grown to love the diversity, the beauty, and the people of the “DMV” and they’re proud to call this their home.
